When a team of young Honda engineers, hungry for success, were working on the ambitious NR 500 oval-piston project in 1978, they did not suspect that they were part of the opening chapter of a history that would bring enormous challenges, include unprecedented racing fame and finally lead to one of the most beloved street motor cycles in the world.
